Interschool Language Immersion Program for Middle School Students -- June 2012 -- Details to follow!

Interschool is very pleased to announce the first year of a Middle School Language Immersion program in June 2012.   Exact dates and location will follow soon.   With leadership from Dalton, Spence and Interschool, this two week language immersion program aims to take advantage of the rich cultural and linguistic opportunities of New York City while at the same time reinforcing and extending language capacities of your children.   The program will be offered in Spanish, French and Mandarin and will be open to incoming 6th through 8th graders.    There will be field trips, meals in the cuisine of the country, sporting events common to the culture and specialists who make the cultural traditions come alive.    Please visit our website for more information at https://sites.google.com/site/interschoolimmersionprogram/ or contact Cathy Cramer at ccramer [at] interschool [dot] org or 2125010031.    Applications can be found at the website.

Interschool Language Immersion Program

We are thrilled to announce that we have 70 students participating in the program in its inaugural year!   They come from a wide range of independent schools in NYC.  We are in the process of selecting high school Teaching Assistants who will be helping the teachers in the class room.    The teachers are being trained in immersion techniques and are creating curricula that will be exciting and fun for the students.    We are all looking forward to June 13th and the beginning of the program and will give updates as things progress!
