Frost Valley Retreat

The Frost Valley 10th grade trip, an annual two-day retreat to the Frost Valley YMCA Camp in Claryville, New York, took place in January 2025. Students from our single sex schools - Brearley, Browning, Collegiate, Nightingale and Spence - have an opportunity to experience a "larger campus" and get to know their classmates in other schools in a coed setting. About 300 tenth graders, 40 faculty members and the Interschool staff all take part.

Spring Bird-a-thon
May 5, 2024

Interschool hosted its first Bird-a-Thon with the Wild Bird Fund in Central Park. Students from all divisions, faculty, and families joined us to search for dozens of species of birds - including rose-breasted grosbeak, blackburnian warbler, and red-tailed hawks. Everyone had a wonderful time connecting with people from other schools and remembering Flaco, the wild owl, whose life and journey in Central Park inspired this event.
